Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based, Reggio-Emilia

From the Director:

Welcome to our amazing school! My name is Tara and I am the director. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and 10 years of experience working in the field of child care. I am passionate about early childhood education and believe in providing children the tools necessary to build the self-esteem and confidence that will allow them to be successful throughout their school careers. I believe that our school is your child’s “home away from home,” and believe in providing our students with a warm, nurturing atmosphere and fostering positive relationships with the children and the parents. The most satisfying part of being a director here at Childtime is watching the children grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually over the years. I am extremely proud of my school and the level of the care that we provide each and every family. My teachers are dedicated to their work and believe in what they do; they are invested 100 percent in each and every child. They work hard each day to ensure that not only are the children learning, but they are loved and having fun. I believe in the quality of our program and the “Empowered Child” curriculum and know that our school will exceed your expectations. Each child is unique and special. A majority of my teachers have their Child Development Associate’s degree or better, and all teachers must have a minimum of one to two years of experience in the age level that they are working with. Continuing education is a very important aspect of our program, and all teachers receive 15 hours or more of training in the early childhood education field annually.
