General School Mission

"By providing a stimulating and accepting learning experience, we hope to foster the following needs of our children:

To provide pleasant experiences in creative art and enjoyment of music. The child will be able to experiment with creative materials with the freedom to use his/her own ideas and express his/her own feelings.

To install pride in self and environment.

To learn to play cooperatively and to respect the rights and property of others.

To inspire the child's verbal expression through dramatic play, finger play, and conversation.

To develop the powers of observation and to become more aware of the world around him/her.

To identify with characters in books and pictures, as well as empathize with his/her classmates.

To develop physical skills such as balance, coordination, and agility through stunts, tumbling games, and various activities.

"Sunshine is designed to provide a secure and stimulating environment for our children when they are away from home. Our program is designed to teach our children how to think, how to learn and how to enjoy it."
Our program offers the young child the opportunity to explore and develop in many different areas. Children direct their own learning through centers - in a developmentally appropriate way.
