Philosophy & Approach

Day in the Life

General School Mission

" It is our philosophy that quality preschool and childcare services are the same, despite ability or disability, and should be provided in an inclusive environment. Our goal is to assist children to maximize their strengths and opportunities in a safe, nurturing environment.
The physical environment is child-oriented and promotes interaction for children with diverse abilities. The curriculum is designed to address all areas of development: cognitive, communication, social/emotional, physical, and self-help skills. Play is a child's work and is a valued process for learning. Many hands-on activities are incorporated in our daily routines. Materials appropriate for various developmental levels, adapted curricula, and adapted equipment are used to assist children in their ability to participate in play and learning activities.
Children will develop positive self-esteems, learn to assert their individuality, experience a sense of independence, and celebrate their differences. All team members work collaboratively to meet the individual needs of each child. We hope to be supportive and positive partners with parents in the development of all young children in the Kidlink Preschool and Childcare program.
