With 2 teachers in each classroom, children can be worked with individually or in small groups depending on skill level for more individualized learning experiences.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

"The purpose of our program is to provide a secure and safe environment as well as a loving and stimulating atmosphere in which children can grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually through developmentally age-appropriate practices. We recognize that children learn through play and we strive to create a climate that will encourage exploration, experimentation and creativity. Special attention is given to fostering a positive self-concept in each child through creative and structured learning opportunities.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Teachers email parents weekly and as needed to keep parents informed of classroom activities. Two Parent/Teacher conferences are held each year. A portfoli is kept on each child by their teachers. Parents have the opportunity to visit with the teacher at monthly meetings if so desired.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school

Handling Separation: From the Director

Parents are encouraged to initiate their own personal "good-bye ritual" that is meaningful to them and their child. Children are escorted into the building by staff and if they are crying or upset they can go to a safe place in each classroom where they can calm down and decide when they are ready to join the class.
