Handling Separation: From the Director

Children with separation anxiety are handled with love and compassion. Sometimes all it takes is a hug. Sometimes it involves having the parent come into the school with the child to help them hang up their coat/backpack. Occasionally a child will cry, and we encourage the parent that it's ok to leave. The child almost always forgets what they are crying about as we get them involved in what the other children are doing. Both of the teachers are parents also, so they understand this anxiety well.
