Day in the Life

General School Mission

"Our preschool provides a quality program for the enrichment of young lives in this community. Daily individual and group activities provide a variety of learning opportunities. Through a structured yet flexible curriculum, each child is guided toward developing a positive self-esteem, a good social concept, and a solid foundation for future learning.
Trinity Tree House also provides an environment of Christian love in which the child is given opportunities to explore his/her world, to experiment with materials, to strengthen relationships with peers, and encouraged to think creatively in solving problems. There are experiences in art, music, science, literature, and social living, as well as physical activities which promote health and safety. Our preschool strives to supplement and enrich the home."

A Typical Day

"The typical day includes the following program:
Choice Play - children choose from activities that include dramatic play, pretend play, block play, puzzles, sand and water play and more.
Art - provides opportunities for creativity and self-expression. Children also learn about color, shapes, and size relationships.
Circle Time - group gathering during which ideas are shared and themes are discussed. These activities are designed to stimulate thinking, enrich social skills, and develop listening skills. Fingerplays and music are an important part of this time.
Small Group Instruction - children engage in pre-academic activities such as alphabet recognition, counting, coloring, cutting, patterning, printing their name and more.
Big Room Activities - children use their muscles as well as their imaginations as they engage in fun, healthy exercises such as running, jumping, climbing and bike riding.
Story Time - children are introduced to good literature and work on listening skills.
There are field trips, visual aids, special visitors, and other interesting projects at various times throughout the year."
