Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Every preschool child is given each lesson one on one. It's hard to imagine how there is time to do this, so I recommend visiting and seeing for yourself the magic here.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

Wheaton Montessori School provides high quality, authentic Montessori preschool and elementary programs for families in the western Chicago suburbs.

Separation

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

I find that new students connect to Wheaton Montessori in one of three ways: making a friend, a favorite activity like painting or bubbles, or being held by the teachers. One of the beauties of our classrooms is that new students come in to established classrooms with engaged students.
