Mission Statement:

-Our purpose is to create a learning, praying, serving, Christian educational community for our children, both Catholic and non-Catholic.
-The purpose of education is to foster the individual's intellectual, spiritual, physical and emotional growth according to his/her uniqueness.
-Parents are the primary educators. Together, parents, teachers and children contribute to the life preparation of our children.
-Children have an active role in their education and are expected to participate in the learning process appropriate to their developmental level.
-St. Matthias/Transfiguration School provides a stable and caring atomosphere. Our staff is sensitive to factors outside the school which may affect the needs and behavior of individuals and groups.

7:50am-8:15am - Morning Business:students sign-in and check-in / student choice of puzzles and books
8:15am-8:30am -Opening Routine: prayer / pledge / calendar time / circle time / story time
8:30am-9:00am -Recess / Outdoor Activites or Gross Motor Time
9:00am-9:30am -Washroom / Snack / Clean Up
9:30am-10:55am -Center Time / Clean Up
10:55am-11:15am -Music / Movement
11:15am-11:30am -Circle Time / Story Time
11:30am-11:45am -Prep for morning dismissal and Large Manipulative Choice Time
11:45am-12:30pm -Washroom / Lunch / Clean Up / Book Choice for Transition Time
12:30pm-1:00pm -Recess / Outdoor Activities or Gross Motor Time
1:00pm-2:15pm -Washroom / Rest Time / Wake Up / Book Choice for Transition Time
