General Approach to Learning: Montessori

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

The philosophy of Montessori Education is "Follow The Child" meaning that all children are working at their own pace.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

RPMS strives to create an enriched environment so that children are inspired to reach their highest potential using the Montessori Philosophy of education. This fosters a strong sense of community and respect for self, others and the environment, which builds a strong academic foundation for a lifetime of learning.
RPMS provides an education based on the Montessori philosophy within a caring, cooperative and trusting community.
RPMS is a community where human differences are acknowledged and celebrated. RPMS seeks students and families who share our educational and philosophical vision and who bring a multi-cultural and diverse experience to our classrooms.
Our parent-governed school, recognizing the importance of the partnership between home and school, shares the values of responsibility, commitment and teamwork.
RPMS believes that all of its students carry within them the adults they will become. The RPMS vision is that each graduate will carry the skills, characteristics and motivation that will lead to a fulfilling life enriched by:
Passion and aptitude for learning
Healthy foundation for independence
Sensitive, purposeful and respectful interaction with others
Curiosity to explore the "how" and "why" of things, in addition to the "what"
Respect for the interdependence of all that exists within the global environment and the motivation to positively impact his or her community and the world.
RPMS is committed to helping each child unlock his or her full potential.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We provide progress reports two times a year where parents come in for conferences with the teacher.
Teachers are available either by phone or email.
We provide parent education events during the year to educate parents on the philosophy of Montessori Education as well as infor parents how to bring Montessori into the home.
Two times during the year parents are invited to come into their child's classroom to experience the classroom environment. At one of these events the children show their parents around the classroom. The elementary age child will demonstrate various montessori works to all of their classmates' parents.
