The mission of the Helen C. Peirce School of International Studies is to construct an environment which develops intellectual, social, and emotional growth. This will be accomplished through a balanced curriculum which includes a Literature and Writing magnet cluster component, relevant, applicable professional development for school personnel and learning opportunities for parents and community members.
To this mission, the following goals are established:
To promote excellence and personal growth by providing academic and character education opportunities for all of our students.
To focus on literature and writing instruction through the leadership of the Literature and Magnet team.
To enrich mathematics, technology and science skills while providing a balanced curriculum that includes the arts and humanities.
To teach students to recognize and be proud of their own ethnic and cultural heritage.
To allow students to appreciate and demonstrate respect for the similarities and differences of other cultures.
To enable students to develop personal skills and goals for the future.
