Day in the Life

General School Mission

"Every experience provides an opportunity for learning. Children are curious by nature and through play they are able to make decisions, wonder, ask and discover. Our teachers provide appropriate educational materials and the children are then free to choose their own activities by themselves, with other children and with adults. This philosophy of self-directed learning allows children to gain a world of confidence in their abilities to make decisions, think, and work creatively. The curriculum at The Cooperative Preschool is secular and the school embraces diversity. The curriculum is also carefully planned to provide a variety of activities that help our young children grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively all while making their first school experience joyful and interesting.
