"Peace Lutheran Pre-School is a ministry of Peace Lutheran Church, therefore, Christian principles and values undergird our teaching. Formal Christian education is not a part of the curriculum, however, prayers before snacks are said, Christian songs are taught to the children and Bible stories are told.
Our goal for your pre-school child is to provide a proper balance of group and individual activities, active and inactive experiences, and a proper balance between freedom and guidance.
Creativity will be encouraged and a relaxed attitude within the framework of a specific schedule will be carried out. We will endeavor to develop a sense of security between your child and others and confidence in his/her own abilities.
Listening, learning to follow directions and developing a sense of order in one's life will be major goals of achievement. These are important aspects of learning to relate successfully in a social environment.
The greatest benefit to your child will come from regular attendance through the entire year's program. We want this experience to be positive and loving, one that will fortify your child and create an eagerness for learning.
Peace Lutheran Pre-School is not meant to serve simply as a daycare center or baby sitting service. Neither is it meant to provide a strongly structured classroom situation. It is meant to be the bridge between home and the new and foreign world of school.
We believe that what we offer is wortwhile and unique. We hope that you will find that our pre-school fulfills your expectations."
