"Our Preschool program expects nothing less than the highest values and the best of care for our children.
A. We recognize the importance of adults as models of acceptable behavior for
children. Children see in their teachers such attitudes as appreciation, sharing, patience, love, joy, fairness and discipline.
B. We affirm each child's worth and strive to instill a positive self-image in each child.
C. We believe that Christianity teaches love for all people, and we want to make all children from all religious backgrounds feel welcome in our program. Our children are asked to participate in prayer times such as grace before meals and we also celebrate Christian holidays such as Christmas and Easter. Our program is designed to complement each family's own religious instruction, not to replace it.
The learning process of a child is enhanced by positive
reinforcement which is given with each step taken in mastering skills for a child's appropriate age level. It is our goal to provide the kind of environment and varied experiences that will allow a child to:
1. Make a successful transition from the home to a school setting.
2. Become comfortable with a group setting.
3. Develop an interest and joy in learning.
4. Develop a feeling of security and a feeling of success.
5. Develop self-expression.
6. Develop creativity.
7. Develop self-control.
8. Develop responsibility.
