Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based, Teacher-Led

From the Director:

Our mission is to provide a quality preschool experience that helps your child develop academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. Why is Aace the best option for your child? Several research studies have found that high quality early care and learning programs have certain characteristics in common. Important things to consider when evaluating schools are low child/teacher ratios, low teacher turnover, and a commitment to high performance standards. Teachers who teach students in an environment that provides a low child to teacher ratio are able to respond to the individual needs of the children. At Aace, we accomplish this through adhering to ratios that are recommended by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Our staff is committed to our program. We provide teachers with a pleasant work environment, very competitive pay, and many benefits. Johns Creek Academy takes pride in selecting the best teachers to care for and educate our students. We use a very thorough selection process to ensure that our teachers have the desire to care for children and encourage their growth and development. All Aace teachers have specialized training in early childhood education and are CPR/First Aid Certified. Our Classrooms Our state of the art preschool facility was built in 1999 with the needs of young children in mind. When visiting our school the first thing you will notice is the warm and inviting environment. Each classroom is designed to accommodate the needs and challenge the minds of the children in that developmental group. Our toys and equipment are selected to be developmentally appropriate for each age group. Children's artwork is the predominant display in each classroom. Our Curriculum After extensive research, we adopted a curriculum that we know will challenge your children in all areas of their development. Based on the works of Piaget, Gardner, and Erikson, Pinnacle© Curriculum®
