Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

From the Director:

International Preschools is an academic preschool with an activity-based approach to learning. Our researched best practices integrate curriculum content with developmental skills and target each learning style every day. Activities strike a balance between teacher guidance and student discovery.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Our class placement is based on developmental level rather than strict birthday cut-offs, ensuring that all students are where they need to be for most effective learning.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

We believe in cultivating children's critical and creative intelligences. With daily activities emphasizing each of the learning styles, children will be free to create and explore as they encounter new challenges. By modelling self-correcting behaviors, teachers will assist students in developing the intellectual framework necessary for making appropriate, reasoned decisions.

A Typical Day

At International Preschools, students will engage in our research-based curriculum that meets the learning needs of every student, with daily lessons in music, art and kinesthetics. In addition to a 45 minute free play period and 45 minutes of outside time, students enjoy a nut-free vegetarian lunch and the following weekly lessons. Language: Italian, Japanese, Spanish and German. Activities: Social and Cultural Studies, Mathematics, Science, Philosophy and Computer.

Each week of our Summer Camps features an exciting topic that we use to integrate all of the academic goals for each student. Our camps are open to students through 3rd grade and work from the Georgia Performance Standards for the upcoming school year. In addition to content-rich music, art and kinesthetic learning every day, students in our Summer Camps delve into the fun of reading, math, science and social studies related to the weekly themes.
