From the Director:

In our Montessori environment the chldren will choose the lessons they want to work on. We have a time during circle time to read and tell stories to the children.

Our Montessori teachers one to one. The lessons are given for each individual child and not the entire group.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

We are an eco-friendly Montessori School. We serve organic snacks to the children. We teach the children about recycling, reducing and reusing within the curriculum. we follow green business practices in reducing paper waste by using an electronic sign in and providing electronic forms for enrollment.

A Typical Day

A green Children's House preschooler arriving to school go outdoors before class begins at 9am. At 9am the children start with a morning circle. During morning circle to do the pledge, sing a patriotic song, talk about the weather and calendar. Shortly after they will begin their lessons. An organic snack is prepared for any student that is ready for snack. Lunch is at 12pm. Nap and rest time is at 1:15pm. After our rest period the after school session begins. We have PE and then Spanish class every day. The children enjoy their day.

We communicate to our parents using daily blogs for the our toddlers and twos. We use a weekly blogs for the preschoolers. We hold parent appreciation events, open houses and parent teacher conferences evey semester or more.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school

Handling Separation: From the Director

We allow our parents to visit with their child before they begin school. If a child is having a tough time adjusting, we ask the parent to stay at school for a period of time until the chlid is comfortable with the teacher.
