Day in the Life

General School Mission

The children learn about the wonders of God's world and become enthusiastic learners who love going to school. Our preschool provides hands on activities and social experiences appropriate to each child's development"

A Typical Day

"Arrival and Play Time: As children arrive, they may choose to play alone or in small groups with a variety of materials.
Group Time: A time for the whole group to come together and say "hello", share thoughts, tell stories, learn new facts, sing songs, play games, and plan our day.
Snack: An important time to work on social skills, try new food, and sometimes prepare our own snack!
Outside Time: A time to for children to use their large muscles in child directed activity.
Learning Centers: Children are actively involved in different areas of the room. Examples of centers include dramatic play, art center, sand table, computers and blocks.
Music/Chapel/German: On Monday and Tuesday, the 3 & 4 year old children have a German lesson. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the children go into the church for a little chapel time. On Thursday and Friday, the children have "Stretch & Grow" exercise class.
Lunch: Children bring their own lunches to preschool.
Pizza Day is on Monday and Thursday ($3.00)

Goodbye Circle/Story: An important time for closure, good-byes and a fun story.
