Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

All our teachers work indivdually every day with each child. The children get one on one teacher attention. The children are introduced to new skills at the child's level. Those that are behind are given extra time to work on certain skills and those that are ahead are given new and challenging tasks to keep their skills advancing and prevent boredom

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Weekly and Monthly newsletters are given to parents to inform them of all activities and skills their child is doing in the classroom.

Parent /Teacher conferences are held periodically throughout the year.

At the beginning of each school year we host a "Get Aquainted Day" where families come to the school and meet their teachers and see there classrooms. Lots of information is distrubuted.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation
  • Abbreviated schedule at start of school year

Handling Separation: From the Director

We advise each family that the easiest way for a child to handle separation anxiety is for the parent to not linger in the classroom with the child. Stepping outside where the child cannot see the partent is the best for the separation process. We always encourage the parent to hang around if they want outside the class or to check in periodically throughout the day with the school to see how their child is doing.
