Day in the Life

General School Mission

"We believe that each child has a great potential and that a rich environment can make each child shine.

We will encourage children to think for themselves, to explore, question, and discover as well as share what they have learned. We believe that children need to feel safe and loved. They need an environment where they will not be afraid to try new things or to take that next step.
We believe that children learn best when they are allowed to try new experiences as they become more self-assured. We will encourage rather than push. amd praise each new accomplishment no matter how small. Our staff is highly motivated to make sure each child will achieve great things!
It is our belief that children learn best through play. We offer a developmentally appropriate program where children will have fun while learning and will be a part of the planning and implementation in the class.
We know that children learn best when basic needs are met. We will assure that these needs are met each day. We provide nutritious meals and snacks and make sure that children get plenty of rest. They will feel safe and secure and know that they can count on the ones around them. We will make sure they feel good about themselves. We believe that children must have lots of opportunities to make choices. They will have music and movement as well as creative experiences each day. Group activities and teacher directed activites will be scattered throughout the day. We promise to read to your child every day.
We believe that children need to learn acceptance of all people. We will help them learn how to interact with others and encourage them to develop language skills. We will treat each child as an individual and resect him/her for who they are and not for what they do. We promise to give your child lots of smiles and hugs, lots of praise and to let them know how special they are.
We look forward to being a partner in your child's education.
