Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

From the Director:

It all starts with our philosophy: Play with a Purpose, and our view that nearly every activity in which your child engages is an opportunity to teach. Playing, drawing, singing songs are all part of a typical day at the Academy. But it's our education-based programs behind those activities that make the difference. Our age-appropriate curriculum is shaped by Get Smart Kids Academy’s Education team, experts with some 50 years of combined experience in early childhood education, And we continually tap those experts, as well as many of the country's leading education resources, to improve our programs.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

At Get Smart Kids Academy, we believe in the importance of beginning the educational process at an early age as it enables children to “get smart” while laying the foundation for their future. Children need warmth, attention, and enthusiastic teachers who nurture and encourage creativity so they can develop physically, socially and cognitively.

We believe in providing a strong educational program, guiding students on their academic explorations and presenting concepts in a manner that suits the varied learning styles of young children. We are aware that introducing young children to the arts and immersing them in literacy rich classrooms sparks curiosity and ingenuity among children. We believe that by encouraging problem solving, promoting communication, celebrating individuality and enriching the cultural diversity of our students, they will be better global citizens. But most of all, we believe every child deserves a quality education in a safe, nurturing learning environment.
