General School Mission

"To offer a safe, supportive and developmentally stimulating program, where children and parents can learn, explore and play together.
The Parent/Child Program, based on the Nova University model, is designed to guide parents of children ages 2 months to 3 years toward an increased awareness of their child's development. Parents share experiences with their children that encourage positive social, emotional and intellectual development. Through these informative sessions, parents gain an increased awareness of their children's unique personalities
intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We are very proud to announce that our program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The Foundation School has also been honored with the Gold Seal Award by the State of Florida. Our school philosophy integrates the teaching of many great educators: psychologist Jean Piaget, philosopher John Dewey, Professor Howard Gardner and Dr. Maria Montessori. We believe that children are naturally curious and strive to understand and master the world around them. Our curriculum design is an emergent curriculum; together children and adults find meaningful areas of study and skills are developed as children explore new ideas and concepts. Our school provides an open environment in which children investigate their world at their own pace through play and discovery, in relationship with others. Children are encouraged to communicate ideas and feelings, to work cooperatively and learn from one another.
