"We believe all children can learn. We also believe each student can behave appropriately in our school. We believe that all students can be RESPONSIBLE, RESPECTFUL, RESOURCEFUL, and REASONABLE . We tolerate no student stopping us from teaching nor do we tolerate any deterrents from allowing students to learn. In order to ensure that this takes place, we have developed a set of guidelines that re-enforce this belief.
The administration, faculty and staff believe in and are committed to providing an educational environment that:
1. Is conducive to meeting the needs of each student;
2. Fosters quality education for each child;
3. Develops self-confidence and a positive self-image in each child; and
4. Practices the African proverb: "It takes an entire village to educate a child."
The Garfield family firmly believes that it is paramount that we educate the whole child. With this belief, we are providing the skills/tools that will enable each student to become a productive citizen and competitive member of an ever-changing society."
