Philosophy & Approach

Day in the Life

General School Mission

We seek to instill a love of learning as the basis for life-long growth. We provide an environment in which children grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially. These qualities are encouraged and supported through a challenging academic program in a nurturing environment. We recognize that children learn at different rates and seek to develop the unique potential of each child. This developmental learning experience enables children to acquire fundamental skills, build self-reliance, and think and work creatively.

We believe that a child’s sense of personal worth is essential for every child’s continued growth. We emphasize character development in the classroom and throughout the school environment by embracing four life rules: respect, responsibility, honesty and kindness. These ethical principles are integrated into the daily life of the school and form the core values that shape the moral life of our community.

Believing that diversity is an essential part of community to be celebrated, we actively seek qualified children of varied socioeconomic, religious, cultural and racial backgrounds. Our children benefit from a curriculum that helps them to understand themselves in relation to their increasingly multicultural community. We strive to create a community that values and integrates the contributions of its diverse members. Our commitment to socioeconomic diversity is supported by a strong financial aid policy.

We believe that a superior education depends on quality teachers. To that end, we strive to attract, support and retain an outstanding and diverse faculty that share a commitment to excellence in early childhood education. We believe in mutually supportive ties among parents, faculty and administrators with the understanding that strong links to a unified community are critical in the development of every child’s fullest potential."
