Philosophy & Approach

Day in the Life

General School Mission

"The purpose of our school is to nurture the overall development of the child ê emotionally, cognitively, socially, physically, and spiritually according to each child's family's beliefs and customs.
We believe:
That children who are encouraged to be self-confident, self-motivated, happy and emotionally secure will develop emotionally, socially, physically and cognitively to an optimum level;
That by honoring the cultural and spiritual beliefs and customs of each child's family, the overall development of the child is enhanced;
That preschool children become self-directed and self-confident when they are involved in exploratory, child-directed activities;
That preschool children learn and develop best when they are involved in concrete, hands-on, multi-sensory activities;
That the ideal preschool teacher is nurturing, warm, caring, sensitive and responsive to the emotional needs and developmental levels of preschool children;
That children grow and develop best when parents and teacher interact and communicate on an ongoing basis
