Day in the Life

General School Mission

The Ricks Center for Gifted Children at the University of Denver offers programs for children ages three through eighth grade. Designed to address the intellectual, social, emotional, aesthetic and physical needs of gifted children, the curriculum at the Ricks Center not only offers students personal attention, but also incorporates students’ individual talents, challenges and interests into their learning.

Separation

Separation is Handled through:

  • Home visits by teachers

Handling Separation: From the Director

There is a beginning of the year all school picnic at a park. Teachers also do home visits and they have an open-house before school starts so the kids can come into the classroom with parents.
