Other subjects taught Roots and Wings offers a well rounded curriculum that includes physical, emotional, social, intellectual and creative experiences and activities for all children. Children are exposed to colors, shapes, letters and numbers every day they are at school which, is achieved through their play. Social interaction, self-help skills and emotional/behavior guidance are part of our daily activities as well. Language, music and science are an important part of a child's growth and development and these areas are focused on daily.

From the Director:

At Roots and Wings we believe every child is an individual with various interests, needs and abilities. Each child is allowed free choice of activities that are planned with our children in mind and are changed frequently. They are given ample time to explore the wide variety of materials and interest centers such as art, the dramatic play loft, science, fine motor, pre-math and language areas. Our outdoor environment is equally important, with choices of manipulatives, free art, the playhouse, sand and water and various playground equipment, all available to the children for self selection.

Every child transitions into our school and spends increments of time in the school setting with their parents/guardian/caretaker and then by themselves until both child and parent are comfortable.
