Day in the Life

General School Mission

"Our philosophy is based on the knowledge that a child's growth takes place in stages that occur in a predictable pattern. God has made each child unique and so each one has an individual rate and style of learning.

A Typical Day

Breakfast is served at 7:30. In each class there is a time of gathering during opening circle, exploration during center time including art, music, science, math and manipulatives. Snack is offered during the mid morning followed by out door activities for up to fifty minutes. Hot lunch is served for Full-Day students followed by a resting time. The afternoon starts with snack, explortation time and then moves to the outdoor space for more learning opportunities.

We have an open-door policy for any family enrolled. Communication with Monthly Newsletters, the yearly calendar of events & Parent Handbook with policies posted on website. One to one communication with teachers and/or director available daily. Monthly familiy field trips scheduled. Student assessments completed and shared with parents twice a year.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Home visits by teachers

Handling Separation: From the Director

We encourage parents to visit with the child, in the classroom setting once or twice for 20-30 minutes before the start date. Bring photos of familiy to post in class at the child's eye level. Take a photo of child/teacher to display at home to help familiarize. Parent are invited to call the school to check on the child for the first few weeks.
