Day in the Life

General School Mission

"WE BELIEVE that the child's fullest potential development comes in a responsive and loving environment.
THEREFORE, at The Laureate, each child is guided by a teacher who is sensitive to the individual needs and abilities of each child.
WE BELIEVE it is important for a child to have age appropriate choices and guidelines in order to develop initiative and a sense of responsibility.
THEREFORE, at The Laureate, children have the opportunity to choose a wide range of activities so they learn to take pride in their accomplishments and responsibility for their actions.
WE BELIEVE that a good school experience prepares a child for life's challenges and that a child can begin to learn the skills to be successful.
THEREFORE, upon graduation from The Laureate our students will be:

Curious learners who possess a love for discovery and the understanding that learning should be a joyful, life long pursuit.
Artistically, culturally, environmentally, and physically aware and appreciative of themselves and the world around them.
Experienced in all academic subjects. We expect all students to continually progress and meet the academic standards of their grade level. High achieving students will be prepared to move into honors and advanced placement classes in high school.
Critical thinkers capable of using divergent, logical, and evaluative thinking in an effective manner.
Self reliant, self directed, and self confident people with the ability to make appropriate choices based upon their own interests and values in a variety of situations.
Cooperative team members who are able to assert their opinions, show empathy and understanding for others and their opinions, be trustworthy, and be able to compromise in order to achieve a group goal.
Competent oral and written communicators who can convey their knowledge and opinions to an audience of their peers and adults in a variety of formal and informal situations.
