Other subjects taught At Your Child is Mine Preschool we have incorporated Zoo-Phonics as the foundation language arts curriculum. "The Zoo-phonics Multisensory Language Arts Program is a kinesthetic, multi-modal approach to learning all aspects of language arts, including vocabulary development and articulation, based on phonics and phonemic awareness." This program takes your child's education way beyond reading writing and arithmetic. Zoo-phonics allows literacy to become apart of the child's entire life.

From the Director:

It is our philosophy that a child's preschool education can set the tone for the rest of their educational experiences. At Your Child Is Mine Preschool our philosophy is very simple. "Teach children to learn to love learning." Once you give a child the tools needed to explore the world around them you have equipped them for life.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

We are a child development center that believes in providing children with both group learning and individual one on one teaching time. Our teachers are constantly observing each child in both settings with the goal to develop the whole child. Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Each week the children. aged 3 yrs. and above, receive a weekly homework packet. This packet is filled with activities that allow the child to practice the concepts they are learning at school. The homework packages give the parents insight to the concept they are leaning in the classroom for the week. They also provide the parent and the teacher with an insight on what the child has actually retained of the week's curriculum.

Parents Say They are Encouraged to:

  • Are able to visit the school anytime we want
  • Go on field trips
  • Receive newsletters

Modes of Communication

  • Notes
  • Phone Calls
  • Special Meetings
  • Drop-Off
  • Pick-Up

Separation is Handled through:

  • Small group sessions

Handling Separation: From the Director

We begin each child at the beginning of the week. This allows a full week of consistency. Both the child and parents can adjust to their new schedule. Our small group sessions are comprised of your child and a student who have been at the school longer. This peer partnership throughout the week makes the transition to school or a new school much easier to adjust too. Our staffs nurturing techniques support the child in a way that they are ready to return the next week.
