KidsPark's Preschool program focuses on preparing children for entry into Kindergarten. We approach this mission by creating a curriculum that focuses on: • Active Hands-on Learning Style • School Readiness • Introduction to The Arts • Flexible Scheduling • Curriculum Diversity • Parent-Teacher Communication

KidsPark's program exposes children to: • Knowledge base (letters, numbers, colors, shapes) • Daily life skills (time, calendar, weather, personal care) • World awareness

The key to our program execution is involving all children in attendance at their own developmental level. We engage children so they learn if they come once a week or 5 times a week.

The preschool curriculum is offered Monday-Friday, 9am - 11:30am. We offer extended care before and after class. We also offer hourly care days, evenings and weekends.

Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based, Teacher-Led

From the Director:

Flexible schedule, low pressure commitment. You can adjust attendance to meet your child's needs. Create your own schedule; come any weekday between 9am-11:30am. Pay as you go. You don't pay when you are on vacation or your child is ill. Maybe you want to start one day a week until your child is ready for more. Because children learn best through repetition, we encourage you to create a consistent schedule for your child allowing them many opportunities to participate in our program.

From the Director:

We incorporate open play into our curriculum to give children the additional time to pretend, explore, make friends, be social and to pursue interests independently. And, we love messes. Let the kids paint, glue, glitter, cut, mix, and enjoy the process of making things in many art media and cooking recipes.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Each week's lesson plan is presented in many different ways, utilizing many different media. In this way, it stays fresh for every child, meets all children's learning styles and reinforces previously learned concepts. This method is ideal whether a child comes once a week or 5 times a week. Each child is exposed to the same material.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

Let your 3-5 year old child enjoy learning through play in a social environment.

KidsPark will introduce your preschooler to new friends and learning skills through our preschool and pre-k curriculum that is offered to 3-5 year olds in attendance Monday-Friday 9:00am-11:30am.

KidsPark knows preschool benefits children in so many ways - they are better prepared for elementary school and social interactions.

Home-School Connection

We keep you informed by posting daily activities, writing newsletters and sending emails.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Small group sessions

Handling Separation: From the Director

You know your child best and they have their own way of adjusting to new experiences, just like adults. They may be joiners, watchers, explorers or resisters. We assist each child to make his or her transition easy and positive.
