Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Teacher-Led

From the Director:

Kids Copia is a green learning/ organic school. We focus on the education of our students through academics, play, art and science. We encourage our students to ask questions and we help them to find the answers. Come check us out. We look forward to hearing from you.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Students receive a lot of one on one attention. The teachers check each student's progress through quarterly testing and monthly reports home. Teachers communicate with parents on a daily basis if necessary or needed.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

Kids Copia is an Eco-Friendly Green Learning school. We serve only organic snacks and milk and only 100% juice. Kids Copia strives to give the students the best educational experience. We find that children love to learn when they love what they are learning.

A Typical Day

At 8:30 circle time starts, we move into phonics and math while singing and dancing. The children learn science and art next, with snack in between. Finally it is outside play time before lunch. After lunch, it is time for nap followed by more activities. Then we say good bye to our friends and get ready for another day of fun and learning.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

The director takes time to speak with all the parents as needed. Quarterly testing and report cards are sent out to the parents. Any parents with questions or concerns can email, call, fax, or talk with the director whenever it is needed.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

Children who have separation anxiety are given extra one on one time with the teacher. We also ask that the parent bring their children in for a circle time a few days before they want to start. The parent stays with their child during this time. The parents and child get to meet the teachers, the students, as well as the facility. The parent can call as many times as they would like to check on their child.
