General School Mission

Little Star Preschool 'Too' offers a state licensed preschool and Pre-Kindergarten program. Both programs are designed to make a positive contribution to your child's intellectual, social, emotional and physical development. A well-planned and flexible program includes teacher-directed activities as well as time for individual exploration and free play. At Little Star Preschool 'Too' the learning process is always in a happy and stimulating learning environment. Our professional, caring staff hold degrees in Early Childhood Education and meet state licensing requirements.

A Typical Day

There is structured and unstructured time in the program. Structured time is circle time (singing, stories, and movement) and learning center time (teacher-directed activities that are theme-oriented). Unstructured time is indoor and outdoor playtime.

7:15-9:30 a.m. -- Free choice activities; 9:30-10:00 a.m. -- Clean up, breakfast; 10:00-10:30 a.m. --Circle time (story, music, sharing & calendar);
10:30-11:45 a.m. -- Learning centers;
11:45-1:00 p.m. -- Outdoor play, second language, clean-up;
1:00-2:00 p.m. -- Lunch, brush teeth, clean-up;
2:00-4:00 p.m. -- Nap;
4:00-4:15 p.m. -- Put away cots, snack;
4:15-5:30 p.m. -- Outdoor play, clean-up;
5:30-6:00 p.m. -- Free choice activities.
