General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

Day in the Life

General School Mission

At Kiddie Corner, we provide a nurturing, clean, safe, relaxed, homelike environment. We want your child to feel comfortable and at home while in our care.

We believe young children learn through child centered, play based activities. We foster developmentally appropriate exploration and experiencing through familiar surroundings, as well as, through the use of puzzles, blocks, sand, water, music, dramatic play, outdoor play, movement and art.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We are pleased that we see family member's each day, and are able to speak with them during drop-off and pick-up times.
Families also receive a monthly newsletter which gives them all of the information on activities and special events that will take place during the month. Also, if a parent has a concern or question about their childs development, we have a resource directory with organizations that can assist them with their specific needs.

Parents Say They are Encouraged to:

Separation is Handled through:

  • Small group sessions
  • Abbreviated schedule at start of school year

Handling Separation: From the Director

We have each new child begin at a reduced schedule for the first two weeks of program so that the child can become familiar with our home, the new friends they are playing with, and the staff. We also stagger children's start dates so that each child gets the attention they need to become comfortable in this new enviornment.
