Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based, Teacher-Led

From the Director:

We hope to inspire the joy for learning as your children explore monthly themes through sensory-based projects and activities. Children learn best by doing, exploring, and being engaged in problem solving. JamaJaz will set the stage for your children to role-play, create art, dance, and investigate the world around them.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

At JamaJaz, we are always available to parents to talk about their children. We provide daily notes to parents about what their child participated in that day. JamaJaz also sends out a quarterly newsletter to parents. We want parents to be as much a part of the facility atmosphere as they would like. We welcome parents to stop in and visit. Our facility is very flexible with scheduling so that working parents needn’t worry if they want to pick-up their child early or need additional care for a special situation that has come up at work. We understand that these situations arise & we are here to help!

We provide parents a daily synopsis of their child's activities at pickup each day. We also distribute a quarterly newsletter to parents which includes details of past and future activities.
