Day in the Life

General School Mission

Happy Times Nursery School is a place where each child learns at their own pace. To help develop and encourage each child's potential and capabilities, we guide children to learn through hands-on experience. Children are exposed to as many experiences as possible through cognitive, social and emotional development. The Happy Times staff is committed to giving each child the academic foundation to succeed in the school years ahead.

Happy Times is dedicated:

To encourage exploration through active learning

To develop and encourage a love of learning

To challenge each child as an individual

To develop each child by expanding their horizons

Our entire program is dedicated to centering the whole child by developing their gross and fine motor skills. The child experiences a joy in activities, which are teacher led. The child has an opportunity to mature in physical coordination through learning to trust their body by climbing, running, and balancing. The child has been prepared for writing by gaining control of small muscle movement through puzzles, drawing, painting, and water play. The child is able to listen to a story, follow directions, and meet each experience with excitement and wonder. When the child begins to read, he or she has the experience behind the words, and can then comprehend.
