The first few years of life are the most crucial in an individual's development. It is at this stage that proper foundations for later development are laid, skills are learnt, and values and attitudes are formed. KinderCare devises innovative and interesting ways of learning. They provide the toddlers with a world scaled to his/her level. Ample companionship of his/her age. Their schools are modeled as support structures for nuclear families with Day Care and Creche facilities.

Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based, Teacher-Led

From the Director:

Our curriculum is organized into theme-based units. The units begin with topics most familiar to the children, then address more complex topics as the children develop skills and confidence. These thematic units prompt discussions about their world. Each unit incorporates language, mathematics, science, creative arts, music, motor skills and social development. From the Director:

Language and Literacy This is a critical time to develop reading and writing skills, so we use high-quality literature to promote a love of reading. Math Skills Children are introduced to the rich world of numbers, including sorting, grouping and as well as more advanced math skills. Social Development During group time, children learn to listen, share, take turns, cooperate, demonstrate and give and receive feedback. These skills support their ability to flourish in a classroom environment, giving them a chance to demonstrate what they are learning. Creativity and Imagination Children have a chance to showcase their abundant creativity through dramatic play, music and art. Creative activity develops imagination and independence, and fosters confidence. Physical Development Children develop their large motor skills, such as running, jumping, throwing and kicking. They also practice coordination skills needed for writing, drawing, cutting and other activities. (excerpted from Kindercare Website)

A Typical Day

Each day, KinderCare provides a balanced approach to learning, giving parents the peace of mind that children will have fun as they develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. KinderCare gives your child the tools to become confident and self-aware. In a caring and stimulating atmosphere, passionate and engaging teachers give your child endless opportunities to grow, learn, and imagine -- whether building a spaceship to blast off to Mars or inviting a new friend to share a story during group time. While academics play a role in development, we believe there are many other opportunities for enhancing the whole child.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Your child changes every day. That is why KinderCare Learning Centers teachers and staff provide daily updates on your child's development. Each afternoon, we will let you know about the fun learning experiences your child is enjoying. This includes your child's activities, developmental changes and, of course, milestones. Big and small.

At your convenience, we will be happy to meet with you to discuss your child's progress. We also have comprehensive methods - both formal and informal - to ensure we communicate thoroughly with you about your child's discoveries.

At KinderCare, you will find that our teachers are eager to understand your needs and actively listen to your suggestions. We honor your role as a parent and as the first and most important teacher in your child's life. We work together with you to support your child's healthy growth and development by sharing the learning and excitement your child experiences each day.

Handling Separation: From the Director

The anxieties a child may feel at drop-off time are completely normal -- and so are the parents'! It's encouraging for parents to know that there are many positive (and peaceful) ways to say goodbye at school that will help build a child's confidence.
