Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

We seek to offer individualized care, offering different things to different families, based on the needs of the child as well as the group as whole, and finding a balance between these two.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

We embody the philosophy of the PITC throughout our center, and are in the process of becoming accredited through the NAEYC. We focus on creating a center that has a balance between the academics our kindergarteners need at the beginning of the school year, and what the most up-to-date research says regarding a child's need to learn through play.

A Typical Day

Our curriculum, while planned out, leaves room for the children to expand activities throughout the day when interested. We believe that curriculum should be loosely planned out, but leave room for emergent curriculum-activities based on the needs and desires of the children we serve
