Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Eden Lutheran Preschool encourages open communication between the parents and staff. If a parent is unable to talk with a teacher when they drop off or pick up their child they can speak to the director who will set up a phone call or meeting. Most of our parents can speak to staff about their children daily. There is Back to School Night in September every year. This night allows the parents to hear what the teacher expects of them as well as their child.

Parents Say They are Encouraged to:

  • Hold social events at the school to build community
  • Are able to visit the school anytime we want

Modes of Communication

  • Notes
  • Phone Calls
  • Drop-Off
  • Pick-Up

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

Separation is handled individually. Some children want to be held and given extra attention while others want to be left to look around. There is an extra teacher as well as myself to assist if needed.
