"Our Developmental Preschool Program is built around a Bible based, theme oriented, skill directed, and age appropriate curriculum. As teachers and staff members, we are committed to providing a loving Christian environment. One in which your young children have the opportunity to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. We believe that each child is a unique creation of God and consider educating children according to their God-given traits and abilities a “joint venture between school, family and church.
We are a Christian preschool committed to presenting the love of God and the truths of His word, the Bible. We seek to integrate Scriptural principles into all lessons and activities. We teach the students that God loves and accepts each of them. He wants to help them be the best they can be and to help them make the right choices in life.
We believe that young students learn social skills through well-planned individual and group activities. Through participation and cooperation, young students learn about their responsibility to God, their family, their school and the community. Through guided exploration and structured circle times, our students learn to work together, respect each other and their property, and obey those in authority over them.
We strive to let each student be successful at his or her own unique rate of development. In this way, we can instill in the student a sense of self-confidence, a love for learning, and an eagerness to discover new things. Because we are a developmental preschool, we recognize that students mature at different rates. Each student has his or her own “developmental timetable for attaining the ability to work independently, sit still, and for learning to read and write.
The curriculum is carefully chosen and monitored in order to assist each student in attaining age appropriate skills and concepts. Activities are planned around a weekly theme, which integrates a variety of language arts, math readiness, science, and social studies. Art, music, and communication skills are included.
Activities in the classroom, as well as on the playground provide opportunities to develop gross and fine motor skills. Through these activities, students gain the necessary skills that lead to success in school. Principles of good health and safety are taught and practiced. From clean rooms to clean hands, the students learn to care for themselves and develop healthy habits.
