Day in the Life

General School Mission

'The Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue Pre-School offers a warm, creative environment in an atmosphere where each child's own unique style of learning is valued and nurtured. Each child is encouraged to develop their own self-image and a positive feeling of self worth in a stimulating environment. Children are encouraged to explore the world, to learn, to be part of a group and work effectively with peers. Teachers help the children handle frustrations and solve problems in constructive ways.' -- Extracted from the Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue Preschool website'

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

'We recognize that a close partnership between school and family must exist to create healthy, happy children. Our school is a place where parents, and the entire family, are integral parts of the educational process. Through classroom participation, holiday celebrations, parent education workshops and individual conferencing, parents and staff work together. School and class newsletters inform parents regularly of upcoming activities and ideas for parent-child development. The family becomes a significant part of the larger and very special community of MJC&S.' -- Extracted from the Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue Preschool website
