General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

Day in the Life

General School Mission

TDLC is a family-supporting ministry of Trinity Baptist Church. TDLC is committed to the development of the whole child in an environment that isnurturing, friendly, consistent, and professional. TDLC presents Christian values and teachings. Children learn about God using Bible truths as the foundation to respect all individuals.
Our philosophy is children grow and develop at their own individual pace. Classroom activities are designed to incorporate the varying abilities of the children, while always challenging them to reach just beyond their ability, hence learning new skills. Each class paves the way for the next. Goals in a younger class will meet the ability level of the next class. The younger classes maintain a free schedule (mainly scheduling meals and naptime) and activities are primarily child-centered. As children move up through the center they transition from a free to a more structured schedule (scheduling set times for chapel, meals, nap, circle time, projects/art/music and outside time).
