Philosophy & Approach

Day in the Life

General School Mission

"The Preschool at Grace will strive to promote a happy place for a child to come to where he/she can develop a good self-image. Where he/she can leave with warm memories of friends made, of being liked, and of being accepted as an important part of the total group. Stimulating materials and age-appropriate learning experiences will be made available for the child. The atmosphere will be enriched and extended as far as possible.

The preschool at Grace seeks to provide a physically safe and emotionally secure setting where children can explore and experiment with a variety of materials and experiences in a supportive, confidence-building atmosphere to promote physical, emotional, intellectual, creative, and social growth. Our professional staff is responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for the age level of the children enrolled. A written program plan is available to parents upon request.

We believe that home has the primary responsibility for the young child's development. However, we believe the church has a unique opportunity to provide an educational ministry to assist parents in helping each child develop to his fullest as an individual within a group, and in an environment rich in learning potential. A blend of spiritual, social, mental, and physical experiences provides an outstanding opportunity for youngsters to begin the process of learning and developing social consciousness in a Christian way. In a Christian atmosphere children learn the meaning of God's love and will be better equipped to live out a rich, full life in the freedom of the Gospel.
