Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Teacher-Led

From the Director:

We believe that the best gifts you can give your children are rich, academic experiences that really teach your children that learning can be FUN! Through exciting and unique lesson plans, activities, field trips and guest speakers, we explore a different academic theme each month as well as teach a different letter of the alphabet each week. We firmly hold fast to the belief that children can understand and learn much more than they are usually given credit for, and even if they don't grasp everything they are taught at this young age...when they hear it again, it won't be for the first time. I want EVERY child to leave feeling like they are smart, that they are successful in their learning experiences and that school is a fun place where they can expect to do very well!

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Our teachers are more than willing to work, individually with families to meet their specific needs.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

10 years ago, I founded Miss Jodi's Learning Garden because, when I looked for activities for my children, I was forced to choose between going to a once a week Mommy and Me type class, or sending my child to a full time daycare program for preschool. I was a stay at home mom, with a degree in Education who wanted something academic, yet part time, that allowed parents to be involved in their child's education. And thus our concept was born.
We offer a range of classes including Parent and Child classes for infants and toddlers, a Drop Off Play Program and our immensely popular Part Time, Cooperative, Academic Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Programs! Our unique and challenging academic programs have captivated children and taught them to love learning for 10 years now!
