Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based, Teacher-Led

From the Director:

The teachers structure the day. There are learning centers out for the children to get their "Hands-On" learning. The children get to choose which centers they wish to occupy, but the teacher also closes centers for circle-time and table work.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

We work with all children on an individual basis as well as with the group. If a child is ahead, we give "extra" to keep them moving forward. If a child is behind, we give more help to what they need before moving them forward. If a child is delayed, we research the best ways to help the child and adjust to their learning styles.

Handling Separation: From the Director

We do what we can to help students and parents cope with the separation anxiety. We mainly focus on the student, but sometimes the parent also needs comfort. We will call the parent and let them know how their child is doing.
