General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

From the Director:

We offer a great program with a home like setting for the comfort of you and your child. Our curriculum is an academic based structured program offering phonics, art, music & movement, math, spanish, reading, gymnastics, computers, and much more. We want our children to succeed in their academic skills, socialization, and self-concept. And in the process our students become delightful people -- kind, good humored, concerned and ready to make a success of life. Great Beginnings is the finest child development center in the area. Once you tour our facility and see how we care for and educate your child in a stimulating and fun environment full of discover, you'll see the difference. Your child's safety is a top priority. Our state-of-the-art security system requires access codes to enter our facility. All classrooms are equipped with observation cameras for you to observe your child interacting with the teachers and their classmates learning and having fun. We have a parent club, and offer seminars & workshops for parent participation and education.

General School Mission

Great Beginnings is a child development center and our mission is to provide a nurturing, secure and educationally challenging experience in a stimulating environment for each child. Our goal is to develop positive self esteem in a climate that encourages creativity and individuality.

Each child has unique capabilities and we provide a wide variety of experiences for children to enhance and develop their talents. Above all, children at Great Beginnings are happy, learning, and safe. We value childhood and want children to succeed in their academic skills, self concept, and socialization. When a five year old graduates from Great Beginnings, they have mastered the necessary academic and socialization skills to give them confidence to face a bright future as well as making new friends and joyful memories to last a lifetime.
