Each staff member greatly exceeds the state's educational requirements and is fingerprinted, background checked, and certified in CPR & first aide.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

Valley Parent is a cooperative school and relies heavily on the involvement of each and every school family. Parents work in the classroom, attend general meetings, serve on a committee, and assist with school maintenance. While being a part of a cooperative school requires a large commitment, we’ve found it also offers a large reward. Teachers, parents, and children working together creates a strong community and long lasting friendships. Specific member requirements can be found here: http://www.valleyparent.org/parent-participation

A Typical Day

Our play-based program offers a hands-on curriculum that allows children to learn, explore, and discover using all of their senses. A sample daily schedule may be found here: http://www.valleyparent.org/programs-and-tuition/daily-schedule

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We have an open door policy and parents are welcome in our program at any time.

Separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

Parents may stay as long as needed at the beginning of school as we want this to be a happy transition for your child. The teachers are very experienced with separation issues and will assist you in deciding when your child is ready for you to leave.
