Day in the Life

General School Mission

Harmony Farm's comprehensive curriculum fosters an appreciation for the farmâ??s contribution to society with an emphasis on the benefits of sustainable practices. The children not only interact with the animals, they learn to respect and appreciate them as living creatures that complement our existence. A mini-worm garden provides composted soil for the low-water garden filled with tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, pumpkins, zucchini, and giant sunflowers. Soccer games, old fashioned potato sack races, rough terrain tricycles, and a colorful parachute develop confidence in physical capabilities.
At Harmony Farm, the learning doesnâ??t just happen outdoors. Step in to the classroom and enter a kid-sized town complete with theater, fire-station, vetâ??s office, school-house, café, and playhouse. The classroom also includes a variety of fun accessories to foster hours of creative play. The Zoo-phonics program and hands on math and science activities ensure your child has fun while learning all of the skills essential for kindergarten success. Arts and crafts compliment every unit, and music, song, and rhyme encourage participation and retention of basic skills.

A Typical Day

Would your child like to spend a year on a farm? Do they love to play in the dirt, feed worms, and let lady bugs crawl on their arms? Do you think they would enjoy milking Nubian dairy goats, bottle feeding day old calves, and collecting eggs from a flock of hens? Let them experience the wonder of Harmony Farm Preschool.
