| Applications accepted | The two-day pre-school students must be 3 years of age by september 1. three-day preschool students must be 4 years of age by september 1. all students entering school for the first time must present a birth certificate, health record and a social security number. catholic students must present a baptismal certificate. the state of illinois requires a physical examination for each child entering school for the first time, for preschool, kindergarten or first grade, and again before starting the fifth grade. all immunizations must be up to date. physical exams are also required for students transferring from other schools, if they have not been previously examined as required by illinois law. the exam records are due on or before entrance to classes. parents and students agree that once a student is registered at st. mary nativity school, all policies and regulations will be observed by the student and encouraged by parents. in all organizations and at all school related events, parents are expected to exhibit and to model christian conduct at all times. parents are expected to support all school policies contained in this handbook and to be aware of subsequent changes made by the school or diocese of which they will be informed. |

| Acceptance criteria: | Admission Policy If there is a waiting list for a particular grade, children will be admitted according to guidelines established by the Joliet Diocesan School Board in the following order. • Siblings of currently enrolled students, • Children of parishioners, • Transfer students from other Catholic schools, • from schools that are closing, • Transfer students from public schools: • Children of other parishes, • Children of non-Catholics. • All children, including non-Catholic children, are required to follow the curriculum including religious instruction, religious services, and other religious activities held during the school day. • All new students are on academic and disciplinary probation for the first semester. • No child shall be refused admission to St. Mary Nativity School because of race or creed |

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
