Application Information
| Applications accepted | The child must be at least 2 1/2 years old to proceed. the classroom director will then contact the family to schedule an interview. this interview provides the opportunity for the parents and the child to establish a relationship with their director, further their understanding of jms and the montessori method, and address any curriculum questions. the child must be toilet-trained prior to attending. feel free to contact us at (815) 741-4180 if you have additional questions and/or would like to schedule an observation. |

| Acceptance criteria: | Placements are not first-come, first-served If placement is not immediately available, the family will be notified and may choose to be either placed in the "Applicant Waiting Pool" (with no guarantee of future placement) Interest in applying for admission for younger siblings must also be communicated at this time. For families with younger siblings eligible to enter the primary program, an invitation will be extended to attend the Open House, along with an outline of the Admissions procedure and the application paperwork. New siblings and their families must complete the admissions process Open Registration begins after registration of current families has been completed. Families wishing to be re-admitted to JMS after a lapse in attendance, transfers from other Montessori schools, and families with no prior Montessori experience are included |
