| Applications accepted | Child care application procedure: new students -- apply for admission to the college and complete the enrollment process. continuing students -- register for classes and finalize your class schedule for the upcoming semester. complete the application package (available online, at the center, or by calling to request a copy), consisting of the following: application for admission parent's agreement personal history of child medical report of child in day care (signed and filled out by your doctor) note that the department of social services requires that your child have a well visit at the doctor's office, and be caught up on all age-appropriate inoculations. child and adult care food program (cacfp), application form (doh-3688) letter to households (doh-3673) building for the future bring your completed application forms, child's birth certificate, student id card, driver's license, and your class schedule (if available) to the center. meet with the director to discuss child care tuition and fees, tuition assistance programs, scheduling requirements, and have all your questions answered. you will need to provide verification of your income if you are applying for any of the child care tuition assistance programs. pay the non-refundable semester registration fee. children must be toilet trained upon entering the three year-old or pre-school room. |
| Acceptance criteria: | The centers will accept children of Suffolk County Community College students, faculty, staff and community residents. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin or handicap. Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
